2017 Dinner for Life with AFR’s Radio Personality JJ Jasper
2017 Dinner for Life
Saturday, April 29th, 2017
This year’s Dinner for Life will feature American Family Radio personality, JJ Jasper! JJ can be heard Fridays on Today’s Issues/Trivia Friday on FM 88.3. JJ is also a successful Christian comedian and author of Losing Cooper: Finding Hope to Grieve Well, Moses Was a Basket Case, and a children’s book, When I Grow Up.
Although JJ shares his commitment to life joyously, he and his family have experienced the value of life through both loss and triumph. The Jasper’s only son, Cooper, was killed in a tragic accident at age 5.
Then when he and his wife, Melanie, thought their family was complete, they were surprised to learn they would be blessed with twins! One of the twins is their son, Bode. Bode was diagnosed with Down Syndrome following his birth. Although JJ admits that he initially responded to the diagnosis with anger and disappointment, he quickly saw the triumph and great value in the gift of Bode!
JJ now states, “… as I gaze into the angelic face of my sweet son, Bode, I am one hundred percent convinced that God made him perfect for his purpose here on earth.”
It is estimated that 60-90 % of babies diagnosed prenatally with Down Syndrome will be aborted.
The 2017 Dinner for Life will be held Saturday, April 29, from 6-8 pm at Living Branch
Church. Talk show host, Sam Malone will serve as emcee.
