Our 2017 Pro-Life Essay Contest Has Begun!

Due to Hurricane Harvey the deadline for the Essay Contest has been extended.  The MCRTL Essay Contest is actually 2 contests - a junior high contest and a senior high contest. Each year the Essay Contest provides a wonderful conversation starter for parents and students regarding the fundamental issue of the value of life! This outreach is an opportunity for MCRTL to further encourage a Pro-Life worldview in our community. Through the process of composing the essays, contest participants examine their beliefs regarding the sanctity of life and receive training in communicating those beliefs. Accepting Entries to Our 2017-18 Pro-Life Video Contest!

The Video Contest is open annually to any student or amateur film maker ages 15-25 yrs old who is a resident of Montgomery, Harris, Grimes, Walker, Liberty, Waller or San Jacinto counties. The film can be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes in length. Each film must affirm in some way―even indirectly: “Why laws need to protect innocent human life.” 1st Place = $1000 2nd Place = $500 3rd Place = $250 Students may further submit their entries to the National Right to Life Video Contest. 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil Kickoff Rally – September 30

Saturday, September 30th, is the date for Montgomery County Right to Life’s Kickoff for the fall 40 Days for Life vigil!  The vigil runs from September 27th thru November 5. Our kickoff rally this campaign will again be at the Planned Parenthood facility at 4747 Louetta.   We will meet at 10:15 am on the grassy esplanade in front of PP. Life Chain Will Form on October 1st Through Conroe!

On Sunday afternoon, October 1st, Life Chains will again occupy U.S. and Canadian sidewalks. Area Pro-Lifers will join with others across North America in prayerful reflection and support of God’s precious gift of life.  There we will pray and witness on behalf of our voiceless fellow citizens. Announcing our 2017-18 Pro-Life Oratory Contest

As part of the National Right to Life Oratory Contest, MCRTL sponsors the beginning level local contest each year. The purpose of the contest as stated by National Right to Life is to "promote the ability of high school juniors and seniors to share their Pro-Life views with others” and also “to give the contestants an opportunity to meet other Pro-Life teens."
