Poster Art Contest

MCRTL welcomes area students to express their support for the beauty of every human life through our Poster Art Contest. The contest provides another opportunity for parents, teachers, and pastors to initiate a conversation on the essential question of the value of Life. Video Contest

The Video Contest is open annually to any student or amateur film maker ages 15-25 yrs old who is a resident of Montgomery, Harris, Grimes, Walker, Liberty, Waller, San Jacinto, and Fort Bend counties.  The film can be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes in length. Essay Contest

The MCRTL Essay Contest is actually 2 contests - a junior high contest and a senior high contest.  Each year the Essay Contest provides a wonderful conversation starter for parents and students regarding the fundamental issue of the value of life!  This outreach is an opportunity for MCRTL to further encourage a Pro-Life worldview in our community. 40 Days for Life Kickoff Rally – 9/21

Since 2007, Pro-Life prayer warriors have been taking part each spring and fall in the peaceful, prayerful vigil known as 40 Days for Life.  You can take part in this worldwide mobilization to pray and fast for an end to abortion! LifeChain 2019 – October 6th

On Sunday afternoon, October 6th, Life Chains will again occupy U.S. and Canadian sidewalks.  Life Chain is an opportunity once a year to pray fervently for the end of abortion and peacefully remind our two nations of the loss of life and suffering that we allow! Oratory Contest

As part of the National Right to Life Oratory Contest, MCRTL sponsors the beginning level local contest each year.  Since 2007, MCRTL has used the Oratory Contest as a tool to train and equip participants with a loving and ready answer for why life is valuable and why each of us should work to protect life!  High school juniors and seniors are eligible to compete. Contestants research, write, and present a 5-7 minute Pro-Life speech on abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, or stem cell research. First prize is $1000.  Second prize is $500.  Third prize is $250.
