Are you a student at Lone Star College? Are you Pro-Life? Have you ever wondered how you can have an impact on your campus? Could you use a little extra help with college expenses? If you answered yes to these questions, you may be a great candidate for the Dr. Joseph Graham Fellowship for College Pro-Life Leaders! Montgomery County Right to Life is now accepting scholarship applications, which are due by March 2.
This program, started by Texas Right to Life in 2008, educates and trains the next generation of Pro-Life leaders! In 2013, MCRTL sponsored our first Fellow on the LSC-Montgomery campus. Christian Rodgers founded Lone Star Right to Life and navigated the process of getting it sanctioned as an official campus club. In 2017 MCRTL scholarship recipients, Abigail Bumsted and Levi Robison, founded Pro-Life Timberwolves on the LSC-Tomball campus. This year we are sponsoring four Fellows – two each on both the Montgomery and Tomball campuses.
MCRTL’s vision is to sponsor Dr. Joseph Graham Pro-Life Fellows on all of our area Lone Star College locations. Because Lone Star is such an integral part of our community, the Pro-Life clubs are a vital tool toward forming a strong commitment to life among our youth and throughout our society.
Students chosen for the program can earn up to $8000 ($2000 per year) throughout their undergraduate collegiate career while promoting a culture of Life on campus. What a wonderful opportunity to minister life in our community and help pay for college!
- If you are interested in participating in Lone Star Right to Life or finding out more, please visit the club’s Facebook page, Lone Star Right to Life. To get involved on the Tomball campus, visit Pro-Life Timberwolves. These clubs sponsor informational meetings, service projects, fun fundraisers, and opportunities to forge friendships with fellow Pro-Life students!
The deadline to apply for the Fall 2019 – Spring 2020 school term has been extended by Texas Right to Life. However, apply now since we are uncertain how long the application period will be kept open.
Restoring a respect for Life is the legacy issue of our time! Even as a student you can respond to this unique urgency to save real people’s very real lives. We look forward to partnering with you via the scholarship!
