Matthew Cole, who won Second Place in MCRTL’s Video Contest, was just named as the First Place winner in the National Right to Life Video Contest! We are so proud of him! His film was shown at the National Right to Life Convention held June 29-July 1 in Milwaukee, WI. and will also be entered in the Lifefest Film Festival in Hollywood, Ca.
National Right to Life launched the Video Contest in 2012-13 to encourage a Pro-Life message on social media. MCRTL began sponsoring the local competition the following year. Three out of the 4 years that MCRTL has hosted the local contest, MCRTL contestants have gone on to win the National Right to Life Video Contest! Amazing! We have a lot of talent and passion for life in our area that MCRTL’s contests are able to direct toward impacting our community and nation!
In addition to Matthew’s First Place Video Contest win, this year MCRTL also had a national winner in the NRLC Essay Contest. Ella Stockton won First Place in the MCRTL Junior High Essay Contest and was recently named the First Place winner for the National Right to Life Junior High Essay Contest. This was a banner year!
Matthew has been a regular participant in our Student Contests and also won First Place in our 2017 Oratory Contest.
MCRTL’s contests are powerful tools to train students to effectively communicate their Pro-Life values. MCRTL sponsors four contests covering ages 7 through young adults: Poster, Essay, Oratory, and Video Contest.
We believe the Millennial Generation is fast becoming THE Pro-Life generation which will spearhead the eradication of abortion and restore a respect for life! That’s why our student contests, Pro-Life college scholarships and our new Young Adult Outreach group, are central to our Pro-Life efforts.
