MCRTL Announces Pro-Life Essay Contest Winners!

Our 2016 Pro-Life Essay Contest has concluded.  MCRTL is privileged to announce the winners for both the Junior and Senior High contests.  We had enthusiastic participation across the community with students from public schools, private schools, and home schools participating.

Below are the names of the contest winners.  Please click each student’s name to read their winning essay. Congratulations are due to all the students and their families who participated in this important training tool.

The Texas Right to Life Essay Contest is now open. Everyone can participate and try again! Each year we have students that did not win at our local level go on to win at the state level!  Also, if you missed the MCRTL Essay Contest deadline you too can still submit an entry now to the state contest.

Entries for the state Essay Contest must be emailed

by Saturday, January 7, 2017.

Complete details are available at Texas Right to Life’s website.  Prizes at the state level for both the Junior High division and Senior High division are First Place -$400,  Second Place – $300 and Third Place – $175.

About The Pro-Life Essay Contest

Montgomery County Right to Life Pro-Life Essay ContestThe MCRTL Essay Contest is actually 2 contests – a junior high contest and a senior high contest.  Each year the Essay Contest provides a wonderful conversation starter for parents and students regarding the fundamental issue of the value of life!  This outreach is an opportunity for MCRTL to further encourage a Pro-Life worldview in our community.

Through the process of composing the essays, contest participants examine their beliefs regarding the sanctity of life and receive training in communicating those beliefs.  Every year the student essays speak powerfully to the value of life and these young leaders’ commitment to it! Read more.

Montgomery County Right to Life hosts four contests – Poster Contest, Essay Contest, Video Contest and Oratory Contest.  They are open to students from 2nd Grade through college!  You can help fund these great training tools by donating below.  Thank you for your support.
