Texas Department of State Health Services statistics reveal that abortions in Harris County, home to most of our area’s abortion facilities, have decreased an astounding 26.9% since 2010.  Statewide there has been a decline of 28.8%!  The younger generation is turning our nation back toward Life and it is important that we keep the education and conversation for Life going.  Our Pro-Life student contests are great tools to do that!

The contests provide an opportunity for students and their parents to examine their views on the sanctity of life and become equipped to lovingly share those views with those around them.  It will be through these grassroots conversations that affect individual hearts and minds that we will create an attitude shift in our society to make abortion and euthanasia unthinkable.

As these conversations take place two generations are in fact being equipped to communicate why every innocent life should be respected and protected – both the adults and the students.

We have contests open to various age groups from 2nd grade up to young adult.  Scholarship awards are generous –$1000 first prize for both the Oratory Contest and Video Contest! Many of the contests also have opportunities to take the same entry and compete further in the National Right to Life contests.

The Poster Contest and the Essay Contest both concluded for this school term on November 2.  However, the upcoming holiday breaks are great times to initiate conversations and begin submissions for the Video Contest and the Oratory Contest.
