Greetings Friends 4 Life,
I experienced another blessed morning at vigil in front of the Louetta Planned Parenthood on Saturday, and wanted to write to share the highlights with you. I arrived about 7:35 to an empty parking lot. Although there weren’t any closed announcements on the door, it sure appeared to be shuttered. The parking lot remained empty until just a couple minutes before 8:00, when suddenly five cars parked nearly together at the front door. The first arrival clients didn’t have long to wait until the door opened for their business right on the mark.
It is unusual to see at this location, but one of those first clients appeared to be very, very pregnant. I was sure she was too far along for abortion referral and wondered if she was there for medical care. I hoped to get her attention when she came back out, so I could share the alternative real medical care and pregnancy assistance referrals we pack in our gift bags.
I’m sorry to report that she went on her way after her appointment and I didn’t get to share. Praying to get another opportunity. Total client turnout during my watch was about 12-15, including two moms with teen daughters and two couples.
I was joined about 8:30 by a group of prayer warriors from the St. Anne Church in Tomball. This was their first time to gather for vigil at Louetta, although they had already been to the main Gulf Freeway Planned Parenthood in Houston for prayer. They are absolutely wonderful servants of God, and had my heart immediately with their humility and conviction that God is the only solution to protecting His babies from abortion!
They planned to go back to their church with recommendations to make the Louetta PP vigil their ministry every week. They were thinking every Saturday at 8:30 would be perfect since the faithful from St. Edwards and Christ The Good Shepherd are there every Saturday at 9:30. I asked the St. Anne prayer warriors if I could write about them and share their picture, and they graciously agreed. God is growing His presence at Louetta and touching many more hearts. I believe we will see change there!!!
It was a privilege to serve! A lady who was visiting the bank next door walked across the parking lot to thank us for being there. She said she knew why we were there and got goosebumps watching us from the bank. (I’m pretty sure that would have been God touching her heart.) Her heartfelt affirmation was our reward of the morning!!!
About Our Weekly Prayer Vigil
MCRTL and other Pro-Lifers have maintained a steady prayer presence at the facility since it opened in April 2013 and we need more folks to participate. Prayer works!
MCRTL volunteer, Joe W., holds a sign every Saturday morning to let Planned Parenthood clients know about alternatives to PP. As PP clients come over to speak with our volunteers, they are provided with a Health Services List which provides information about local Pro-Life pregnancy centers, such as PACN, Birthright, Care Net, Blue Blossom and Tomball Pregnancy Center. Thus we are able to accomplish much both spiritually and naturally to minister to the women and young men.
If you plan to pray at Planned Parenthood, please download and take the Health Services List with you so that you have alternatives to offer. Click here to download the MCRTL Health Services List. Read more about guidelines for praying on the boulevard here.
