Montgomery County Right to Life realizes the importance of preparing and giving voice to the next generation.  In order to educate, inspire, and equip our area students, MCRTL sponsors four student contests and provides Pro-Life college scholarships for students attending local Lone Star College campuses.

We encourage every family and student to participate in our student activities.   The contests are not academic exercises but rather are conversation starters between students and adults – be they parents, teachers, or pastors depending upon the contest setting.   As these conversations take place multiple generations – both the adults and the students – are in fact equipped to communicate why every innocent life should be respected and vigorously protected.  There is a great ripple effect even among contest participant siblings and grandparents as the contest conversations take place.

The contests are available for students from 2nd grade up to young adults and are open to residents of Montgomery, Grimes, Harris, Liberty, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, or Fort Bend counties in Texas.  Scholarship awards are generous –$1000 first prize for both the Oratory Contest and Video Contest!  Many of the contests also have opportunities to take the same entry and compete further in the corresponding  National Right to Life contests.

Below is information regarding each of our MCRTL contests and the college scholarships. We look forward to hearing from our future advocates!
