The Video Contest is open annually to any student or amateur film maker ages 15-25 yrs old who is a resident of Montgomery, Harris, Grimes, Walker, Liberty, Waller or San Jacinto counties. The film can be from 30 seconds to 3 minutes in length. Each film must affirm in some way―even indirectly:
“Why laws need to protect innocent human life.”
1st Place = $1000 2nd Place = $500 3rd Place = $250
Students may further submit their entries to the National Right to Life Video Contest.
MCRTL began the Video Contest because we recognized the importance of having a strong message for life on YouTube and throughout social media. Each year the videos do just that.
Our local participants have also done well in the national competition. In 2014, 2015, and 2017 MCRTL Video Contest students went on to win the NRLC Video Contest. Three out of the five years that MCRTL has hosted the local Video Contest our winners have gone on to win the national competition. We have some great local talent!
